The Cal Pal mill and sawmill is one of the most typical constructions of the Andorran local and a clear example of the active past of the Ordino Valley.

Located in La Cortinada, by the river, they date from the late 16th century and the early 17th century and ceased operations in the 1960s.

The guided tour demonstrates how wood is cut using a hydraulic saw in which you can see the roller and all its components, as well as the demonstration of how wheat is transformed into flour, which takes place in the mill.

You will be happy to know that you can also visit the Cal Pal Mill and Sawmill with the Andorra PassMuseu: the cost of the pass is €2.5 and entitles you to a 50% discount on the price of admission at 3 museums of your choice out of the 20 existing sites.
