The botanical garden is located in the Vall de Sorteny Natural Park, about a 20-minute walk away from the car park.

The garden is spread over 800 m2 and feature nearly 300 species of flora classified by habitats such as meadow areas, megaphorbias, alpine meadows and scree, plus edible plants and medicinal plants. The latter two are the best known and most photographed in the Garden.

We highlight the endemic plants of the Pyrenees, such as the “Pyrenees Star” (Aster pyrenaeus), the Burser gençana, (Gentiana burseri), the snow willow (Salix reticulata), the Pyrenean violet (Ramonda myconi), others of great interest are: Astragalus penduliflorus, the round-leaved saxifrage of round leaves (Saxifraga rotundifolia), and the flora of traditional use like, the masterwort (Peucedanum ostruthium), arnica (Arnica montana), and coscoll (Molopospermum peloponnesiacum).

The best time to visit the botanical garden and discover the different colours of its flowers is during the flowering period, which we could say runs from late June to late July, although there are plants that bloom in August.

Right next to it is the sculpture of Estripagecs al Vent
