To reach the starting point, take the CG-3 road towards Ordino-Arcalís, until km 18. In a few metres, we take the CS-370 road to the car park of the Vall de Sorteny Natural Park, where we find the park's information booth. We take the track that leaves the car park towards the Borda de Sorteny Mountain Refuge (refuge with services at an altitude of 1,965 m). We go behind the refuge and enter the valley, following the trail of the GRP (grand route of the country) until arriving at Serrera pass (2,230 m). The views from this point over the fens and the small refuge here are magnificent. In the background, the Roc del Rellotge, where chamois can be seen in the early hours of the morning or in the late afternoon (Rupicapra pyrenaica).
This route was widely used for the transport of iron during the 17th and 19th centuries, when the iron mines in Andorra were in operation. If we look closely, we can still see the remains of the iron mines.
These will accompany us on the right side of the trail, such as scree descending from the L’Estanyó and Cabaneta peaks. We reach Meners pass, which gives way to the Ransol valley.
One last effort and we reach the La Serrera Peak (2,913 m) one of the 6 highest mountains in Andorra, which top 2,900 metres.

We return the same way.
