From Ordino take the main road 3 towards the Ordino-Arcalís Ski Resort. We enter the station and if the road is open, we go up until we find the O-shaped sculpture "Arcalís 91", and in about 300 m we will find on the right side of the road a small picnic area and a road sign, which is where we will begin our route to the lakes.

If the road is blocked, we can take the Tristaina cable car to Coma d'Arcalís and walk down this small section to the starting point indicated. We also have the opportunity to take the path that is right next to the Coma d'Arcalís restaurant to climb to the ponds.

Note: During the summer months, the road is closed to vehicular traffic during the morning, from the end of June to mid-September, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. but it can be accessed by Tristaina cable car. You can check the timetable and prices at: https://ww1.ordinoarcalis.com

In any case, the routes are easy to walk, and in about 40 minutes we reach the first lake.

The three lakes of Tristaina are high mountain lakes and undoubtedly some of the most visited in Andorra. The first lake we will discover is Lake Primer, the smallest, but also the one with the bluest waters. The second is Lake Mig, surrounded by cliffs and hills. And the last, which is also the largest, is the lake of Més Amunt, having a circular shape and located in a typical high mountain glacial environment, at the foot of the Tristaina peak (2,878 metres).

We return the same way.
