Casamanya is a charismatic peak, located in the centre of the country, astride the parishes of Ordino and Canillo. Rising to an altitude of 2,740 m, it is made up of limestone rock, which gives it a very whitish hue in contrast to the other surrounding mountains. It offers incredible 360° views over Andorra. The ascent begins from Ordino Pass along a path that will take us through the middle of the Airola forest, populated mainly by black pine (Pinus uncinata), wolfsbane (Aconitum napellus) and Breckland thyme (Thymus serpyllum). We take the path marked by yellow dots to the north, until we reach a clearing (Collada de les Vaques). We continue until we reach the Cap de l’Astrell, a lookout where we will have a splendid view over the Valira d'Orient Valley and the villages of Ordino and La Massana. Once we have climbed the next slopes, we will have reached the peak.
