From the top we will have magnificent views of much of the country, and with all the climbing we have done, the town of Ordino at our feet. We start the route in front of the Ordino town hall, on asphalt in the direction of the town of Segudet. We leave the asphalt behind and walk the first few metres along a wide track, following the signs for the Via Ferrata, to quickly take the trail and start climbing more intensely after crossing the Segudet River, following the yellow signs.
After a short stretch of forest track, we return to a path, with a slope that gradually increases, always through the forest. After the altitude of 2,100 m, we leave behind the Casamanya forest to see before us the last difficult part we must overcome: approximately 600 m of elevation gain, first across the grass pasture, where we will be looking for the best spots to place our feet, and with the view of the trencadís above, where we will do the last 150 m of elevation gain.
We must avoid the sections of loose earth and seek out sections with more stones, until we come to a small pass, from where, turning to the left, we now make out the great milestone that crowns the peak, which we will reach without difficulty. We can descend in the direction of Coll d’Ordino, along the classic ascent, and from this point we will follow the GR downhill to return to the starting point.
WATER: Ordino / If we go down the Coll d’Ordino route, we will find a fountain 4 km from the village.
