An excursion to one of the most emblematic peaks in Andorra, Tristaina Peak (2878 m).

We begin our ascent from Coma d'Arcalís. We go up towards the lakes of Tristaina along a trail very well marked with yellow dots. Once past the middle lake, and when we reach the lake of Més Amunt, we set off from the lake and begin to climb. We find a scree and up a steep climb, with a bit of scrambling, we reach the ridge. We continue on the right for about 200 m to reach the summit.

Tristaina Peak is not the highest in Andorra, but it is a highly recommended ascent as it offers us some spectacular views.

Note: During the summer months, the road is closed to vehicular traffic during the morning, from the end of June to mid-September, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. but it can be accessed by the Tristaina cable car. You can check the timetables and prices at: https://ww1.ordinoarcalis.com
