We leave the car park of the Vall de Sorteny natural park, pass in front of the information booth and continue along the forest track (wide path), until we reach the "els Estripagecs" sculpture. Following the track, we reach Cap dels Graus, and if snow permits, we will find a metal fence. A few metres higher is the crossroads of the Estanyó trail. We cross the river over the bridge and we walk along the river until we reach a small clearing. Then we take a southerly direction, winding our way through the shady forest, until we reach the Llomar plateau. With a much gentler slope, we reach the Estanyó ravine.

After crossing the Estanyó river over a plank, we then have to climb the last ridge before reaching Estanyó Lake.

It will probably be frozen and covered in snow. Its circular shape will indicate that we are at the end of our hike.

The return trip is the same way.
