Esquiar a Ordino Arcalís

A resort with 30.5 km of skiable and 3.4 km of marked freeride routes, as well as 120 unmarked routes. It is the most alpine resort in the Principality of Andorra, which, thanks to its northern orientation, has exceptional snow conditions every winter. It stands out for its extraordinary landscape, its personality, its tradition and its good gastronomy.

The station of Ordino Arcalís was created in 1983 by the residents of the parish and throughout its years of existence, the evolution and modernization of its facilities has been constant. It has 16 ski lifts, the most modern of which is the recently opened Tristaina Gondola, which starts at the base of the station, at 1,940 m, and ascends to La Coma d’Arcalís, at 2,200 m. With this state-of-the-art widget, all non-skier visitors are given access to one of the resort's hotspots.

To reduce its carbon footprint, setting a target for reduction and offsetting it through the production of solar and hydroelectric power.
To reduce the more than 80,000 litres of heating oil, using alternatives such as geothermal energy.
To continue supporting sustainable transport in the parish.
To install new charging points for electric vehicles in the Hortell and Planells areas.
To reduce single-use packaging.
To enable its permanent employees to train as Biosphere Reserve guides.

Ordino Arcalís resort has been self-sufficient in electricity since 2016, when the mini hydroelectric power plant was inaugurated, providing energy to the installations throughout the year and actually feeding its surplus into the network.

Equally, the resort is working in parallel on different ways to reduce its impact on the environment, prioritising energy savings, media digitalisation and the promotion of sustainable mobility by setting up bus lines to provide access to the resort in winter, among many other actions.
